Compliance 350x210

A lot has changed in the railway industry in the past 10 years.  Introduction of new legislation, including the National Rail Safety Law (2012) has brought with it new and more rigorous requirements for rail operators and rail safety workers.

The Rail Industry Worker (Rail Safety Worker, Pegasus) card has been adopted by many operators and is now managed through the Australiasian Rail Association.  So, once you have your Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card you can work on the rail, right?  Well, not exactly.  For any rail safety role there are specific requirements for competencies, training and assessment.  For some roles, Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications are mandatory.  For others, specific licences are required.

Competency Australia is available to assist with any other questions you may have - just contact us on +612 4040 9110 and one of our representatives will assist.

TLIF2080 Safely Access the Rail Corridor Trainee

We would like to congratulate you (Competency Australia) on a very well presented and informative course that myself and one of our signalling trainees attended.  It was also very pleasing that you were able to accommodate one of our employees that suffers from dyslexia...once again congratulations  and best wishes for future courses. Our company will definitely be using Competency Australia for further Staff Signalling Training.
